After a month of chasing jobs, and dealing with unemployment I finally landed a decent job that will actually pay me a livable wage and still have potential for more money down the road.

So that’s exciting.

Pretty terribly as well. Put in my notice last week and have been completely ignored by my boss and a few others at the firm all week. Not one word spoken to me. Counting down the minutes til 5:00... but of course have another week of this crap next week.

it started off good with a nice drop in temperature and rain on Sunday . Which I enjoyed with a new girly making tie dye all day. Monday should have been good with more rain and colder temperatures . How ever what good spirits where had from the pleasent lady friend time and lovely salmon bringing weather was totally destroyed when some fucking scum bag of a human broke into my house Monday b etween 6 and 630 am while I was in the shower. they grabbed the only shit I own that would upset me to loose too.. ugh.. But spirits where raised by some Salmon fishing wednesday evening, I dont catch any thing. But i saw two get landed. I’m on the fence emotionally right now because it’s back in the 80's and the water temp is rising and the weekend bite is probably going to blow.. But still better than I was on monday!

Whats wrong do you want to talk about it?

Stressful. I'm in the middle of too many projects, and they all have a solid deadline of October 1st. Glad it's Friday, but I'm already dreading Monday.

Very stressed. Work has been extremely busy and I’ve had headaches and such all week dealing with it. I thankfully had a much needed day off today.

I don’t know what they call it for employment, but I personally would have gotten a serious case of the “fuckits.” by that point.

Of course, I’ve had jobs where I put in my two weeks and they left me on call 24/7 for the last week I was there...

Eh general work stress and an argument that escalated and went pretty badly. Also I think I might have cracked my plastic skid plate under the car on some debris.

It’s been wacky. I’m down severely, but the big bright spot is that I just passed the second technical phone screen this morning for a very exciting team/product and I’m scheduled for an in person interview with one of their team members next week. Might only be a couple weeks from a job offer...

Potentially picking up a reliable, comfortable old guy bike (at least compared to my 37 year old, 80 mile range, naked Y amaha), and a pretty nice lady has suddenly popped into my life. So, I think things are going pretty nice. Tune in next week to see if I crash the bike and the woman ghosts me.

Congrats on the new job. Sorry to hear about the way things are going, though. I know how it is when everyone thinks you’re a traitor or something. Never understood that mentality; it would seem like everyone would be focusing on making sure they keep in contact with you and get their transition efforts together.

Why are we all freaky stressed right now? Even the contractors I work with are really stressed and seem to be trying to get everything done on some kind of deadline (before Q4, maybe). I haven’t seen it like this in a long time.

Dam, that’ s shitty. I’m there with the fuckits. All week I wasn’t assigned any work to do, but stayed all day despite being ignored. Yesterday I left at 5:15 (typically people leave around 6-6:30) and this morning they dumped a bunch of PDFs on me to convert into Excel... cool...

Considering not showing up monday and just mailing my laptop back

Okay all things considered. Hurricane hasn’t hit us yet so I’m waiting for that impact.

I have a longshot Oppo idea to help a cancer fighter on the west coast get her car back on the road but I’m unsure I can trust Oppo enough to put aside any and all differences and help a stranger out. Would Oppo get over the fact thi s random stranger is a furry artist? I would like to think  so but I’m never sure.

None of that matters if the person in question doesn’t reply back to my PM offer to help her out.

Got bitched at by the boss because other people are whiny bitches.

Had to pull off my cool wheels and put my shitty stock steelies back on due to a tire developing a bulge.

Had 2 people back out on coming to look at the truck.

All-in-all, it’s been a great week.

Just got rear ended a couple hours ago on my way to lunch. I wasn’t feeling good this morning and was super busy, so I figured something out of office time would do me good. Guess I was wrong about that...

Super minor fender bender though, so while it will be inconvenient to get repaired, it could’ve been way worse.

Oh man, I’m just going to add to the stress dump...

Week started off ok, went downhill the last few days.

Yesterday a forklift jockey pierces - yes, pierces - a column with a fork. Holy kinetic energy, batman! So today, I spend an hour on the phone with Risk (tm).

Today, been fighting with a 6000+ part x_t import. It opens but won’t save. I need it to save.

Also, emails from supply chain: “We’re always ready to help out!” How about you - insert expletive of your choosing - learn to do simple releases out of engineering faster than 3 weeks behind schedule? Mmmm kay? That would be great.

Finally, someone I’ll just call “distant exective that isn’t my boss” keeps singling out me for u pdates... which have been done for two weeks, well ahead of plan . No matter how many times I send him the now-old info , I get a call-out in meetings.

Good parts: Took our two VWs in for recalls. (I can hear you laugh, Oppos!) Takata Round 2  on the older one, software updates and a seat belt anchor check (it was fine) on the wife’s SUV. Saw a not-new orange GTI. I’m not normally a fan of orange cars, but that’s a nice one. Good to have those things done.
